Montana Farmers Union Scholarships Two $500 scholarships are made available through the special efforts of the Education Committee and Montana Farmers Union. The winner must be a high school graduate planning to attend a university, college, community college or college of technology in or out of state; the scholarship must be used the year it is awarded; and Montana Farmers Union family membership dues must be current. Award criteria includes:

For information: 1-800-234-4071 or mfu@montanafarmersunion.com Bud Daniels Memorial Scholarship Daniels had a life-long devotion to improving the lives of rural Americans and to keeping farmers on the land. He served as Montana Farmers Union president from 1989-1993, was National Farmers Union vice president in 1992, and in 1999 he received the Meritorious Service Award for his contributions to Farmers Union and to American agriculture. The Montana Farmers Union will present a $500 scholarship in memory of Bud Daniels (1928-2000) made available through the efforts of the Education Committee and MFU. The winner will be selected using the following criteria:

For an application, please contact the Montana Farmers Union Education Director, mfu@montanafarmersunion.com NFU Foundation Stanley Moore Scholarship As a boy, Stanley Moore (1921-2000) traveled with his grandfather, C.C. Talbott, who was a principal organizer and the first president of the North Dakota Farmers Union. Moore held many leadership positions throughout his life, including president of North Dakota Farmers Union in 1975-1987, vice president of National Farmers Union from 1980-87, and chairman of the National Farmers Union Insurance Co.'s board from 1975-95. Moore was a strong advocate of education and this scholarship provides a lasting memorial in honor of his achievement and dedication to Farmers Union. Eligibility:
