Montana Farmers Union Elects Officers

GREAT FALLS, MT - Diana Adamson, Devon, was re-elected as vice president of the Montana Farmers Union at its 89th annual convention held October 14-16, 2004, in Great Falls. This will be Adamson's second two-year term as vice-president.

Also at the convention three district board members were elected: John Wendland, Rudyard, was re-elected as District 2 board member; Sigurd Rudie, Fairview, was re-elected as District 4 board member; and Tom Siderius, Kalispell, was re-elected as District 6 board member. In addition, Rollie Schlepp, Conrad, was re-elected as board member at large. All will serve two year terms on the MFU board.

Again this year the one-year positions of Conductor and Doorkeeper were elected. Herb Vasseur, Chinook, will serve as Conductor, and Calvin Lane, Molt, will serve as Doorkeeper.

Delegates to the National Farmers Union convention, which is February 25-28, 2005, in Lexington, Kentucky, also were elected. Sara Gunderson, Power, was elected as youth delegate, along with LeRoy Keller, Havre??, and Eric Doheny, Dutton.
