GREAT FALLS, MT (Sept. 15, 2008) – Do you want to harness the wind using your own turbine?  Do you want to learn about grant writing to pay for the purchase and installation of such a turbine?  Do you have other worthwhile projects that need funding?

Attend a two-day grant-writing seminar on September 26-27, 2008, to learn the necessary skills.  The workshop hours are 9:00 AM through 4:30 PM daily.  The workshop is sponsored by the Montana Farmers Union, and will be held at the Ursuline Center, 2300 Central Avenue in Great Falls.  The cost is $100 plus the purchase of a $33 workbook as a guide to writing grant proposals.

Attendees will become familiar with resources to research private foundations, government, corporate, employee giving groups, professional associations and others.  Participants are encouraged to bring a Request for Proposal and a Program Announcement for discussion purposes.  Individuals will learn how to assess whether they should apply using criteria for eligibility, interest, feasibility, flexibility, capability and/or competitiveness.
