MFU to Host Oil and Gas Seminar in Glasgow

GREAT FALLS, MT (April 12, 2012) – The Montana Farmers Union will host an Oil and Gas Seminar in Glasgow, MT, on April 18.  The seminar will be held at the Cottonwood Inn and will begin at 6 PM.

Presenters at the seminar will include Herb Vasseur from the Montana Land and Mineral Owners Association; Tom Reid from the MT Department of Environmental Quality’s Water Protection Bureau; Denise Biggar from the MT Department of Natural Resources and Conservation; and Kendall and Laura McRae, owners of SynergyStation.com.

Topics to be covered include what to look for in an oil or gas lease, fracking water disposal, water appropriations, marketing and permits, and resources available to landowners.
