The Montana Farmers Union is a statewide grassroots organization working for family farmers, ranchers and rural communities through conferences, scholarships and other educational opportunities as well as legislative representation and support for producer-owned cooperatives.
Montana Farmers Union would like to recognize the valuable contribution that our youth have made to Montana. The following is a list of awards and eligibility requirements.
The yearly cycle will begin on September 1st. All qualifications must be met prior to August 31st the following year.
1. Assist at MFU trade show/fair booth |

3. Picking up trash around your neighborhood |
4. Recruit a camper |
5. Help with a community garden |
6. Volunteer babysitting |
7. Spending the day with an elderly person |
8. Volunteer for a non-profit organization |

10. Be a Page at the State Legislature |
11. Job shadow someone in your community |
12. Contact Education Director for other opportunities |
Members will help plan, organize, brainstorm and assist in the implementation of the upcoming summer camping program which includes theme nights, camp projects, crafts, camp souvenirs and other activities. SYAC members are required to attend all MFU summer camps. They will host the Senior Leadership Camp. Other responsibilities include:
Youth Leaders may have the opportunity to make up qualification requirements by completing a correspondence project. Only one make up project will be permitted at both the Junior and Senior levels. Contact the MFU Education Director for more information.
